Get More Done, Remove Distractions
Today, I rushed out of the house to get my day started early.
When I got to my first appointment, all across town, I realized I forgot my phone at home on the counter recharging.
I was scheduled to be out the rest of the day, so I had no time to circle back and get it.
The first thing I did was make sure any important people, those I was waiting to hear back from knew I didn't have my phone with me... so don't text or call! Email only since I did remember to bring my computer.
By 11 am I was feeling antsy. How many calls have I missed? Texts? Messages from friends or family?
What? No music? How am I going to write?
Device addiction is real and it's an epidemic.
By 2:30 pm, the time I started writing this message to you, I realized that BECAUSE I did not have my smartphone on me I got a TON done before 3 pm!
- I completed 6 follow up phone scripts,
- followed up with 4 prospects (by email) and moved them down the pipeline,
- planned out two 24-step email series,
- finished the research for a 7-step email marketing campaign for a nutritional product,
- reviewed an Adwords campaign,
- wrote an email for a martial arts website, and yes,
- wrote this post.
And the day's not over!
Why am I telling you all this?
A lot of people believe they're more productive with today's technology and gadgets. I call BS on that.
BS I say!
What I find funny is that with all this modern tech that fits in our pockets, gadgets, and marketing automation tools ... most people admit they are busier than ever.
And they find it hard to unplug.
The math doesn't add up.
Here's the real problem.
If you suffer from minor or major device addiction, or YOU find it hard to unplug you DO NOT have enough head space to do your best work.
You're probably putting out fires all day long. Or while trying to complete a task you ... SQUIRREL! ... where was I? Nevermind.
One thing you can do to clear up headspace and get more of your marketing done, and done effectively is to unload that burden onto someone like me.
If you don't have the bandwidth to think clearly on your marketing and advertising messages or to write copy that converts your leads into paying customers, let's talk. stop suffering and stop feeling even more frustrated that you're not getting enough done during your day, or wondering why you don't hit your most important goals for the month or for the year.
Stop suffering and stop feeling even more frustrated that you're not getting enough done during your day, or wondering why you don't hit your most important goals for the month or for the year. It's because you have too much junk in your head.
Let's clear it out.
